Community Outreach
Program description:
Community outreach is a vital part of our mission to educate and empower BIPOC youth. By involving our BIPOC youth in activities that contribute to and promote the good of our local communities, and building partnerships with local organizations and individuals, we aim to create a more inclusive and supportive environment for BIPOC youth to grow, develop and thrive.
Why this programs exists:
It’s our strong belief that once youth realize they have the power to influence decisions about their community, city, and society as a whole, they often begin to rise amongst their peers and show improved leadership skills and better problem-solving and decision-making skills. In addition to building these important skills, engaging youth in the community also creates a sense of belonging and gives youth reassurance that their voices and opinions are being considered and heard and that they are truly an important part of their community.
