Zion’s Journey 5K Walk-A-Thon

On Friday, June 9, 2023, we will be having a 5K Walk-A-Thon in honour of Zion Patrong. We will start this walk at 6:30 PM from Rouge Valley Public School. 

May 28th 2013 marked 10 years since the tragic, untimely passing of Zion Patrong at the tender age of 14. Zion had a strong desire for helping others and promoting peace and happiness in his community. He touched the lives of so many people, young and old from all walks of life with his kind-hearted nature, generosity, and passion for standing up for what’s right.

We have been walking in honour of his memory and values for the last 9 years, promoting unity in our community, standing together in solidarity against injustices and inequities, and raising funds for PowerFilledYouth activities and workshops. This year our fundraising goal is $2000.00

Friday, June 9, 2023 will be the date of this year’s 5K walk-a-thon. We will leave Rouge Valley P.S. at 6:30 PM. Please come out and support this event!
